Eero Flinkman came to Houtskär as a traveling merchant. He was born 4.9.1890 in Vanaja, Hämeenlinna County, died 14.9.1965. He married Anne Pero from Hönsnäs, and was allowed to live in Lillkil, which was in poor condition at the time. Eero was a handy man, he restored the cottage to a habitable condition. Anne was a skilled seamstress so they survived, but Eero got beard fungus which he had to deal with all his remaining life, with an open wound where bone rot was chiseled away at regular intervals.
