Description
The steamer Wellamo (Stora Wellamo - not to be confused with Wellamo in the Turku archipelago waters) was put into service between Hanko and Stockholm on March 10, 1889 and was sunk by a German submarine off Kokkola in August 1916. Wellamo replaced ss Express. ss Express was the pioneer of Finnish winter traffic.
