In July 1944, the ship was towed to Stockholm, where it served as a grain warehouse. In December 1944, the steamer Tervsund, captained by Otto Fagerström, towed the four-masted barge to Turku, where the cargo was unloaded.
On the way with a cargo of timber, towed by the tugs Aunus and Rauma from Kotka via Helsinki to Hanko, the tug Rauma capsized south of Pelling on December 8, 1946, when eight people drowned.
On the way in ballast from Port Swettenham in Malaya to Port Victoria, Stuart's wife gave birth to a healthy son on January 19, 1948. The destination port was reached on March 2, 1948.
In October 1948, while the ship was unloading 56,000 sacks of wheat cargo, about 8,000 people visited the ship in Avonmouth.
