Retired lumberman Gösta Karlström from Houtskär Näsby, died on 19 August 2006. He was born on 19 October 1923 at Gunnarsten in Brändö.
As a carpenter, he has built many houses and also boats. He also built traditional boats of various kinds and has participated in several traditional boat sailings organized in Houtskär.
Gösta Karlström was known as a skilled carpenter and woodworker who could also build on a smaller scale, ship models for example. Leisure interest was fishing.
