When Axel and Alma Vestelund bought Klemets, this house, then the farmhouse, was only a short distance from the Arstu house, a narrow village road separated the houses. The house was moved to the place where it now stands. They numbered all the logs and boards and rebuilt the house just as it had been before. Since Alma and Axel built a new farm building in 1906, the house was called the small cottage. This happened at the turn of the 18th/19th century. No one remembers who built the house, whether it was Alexander and Lovisa Venström, or someone before them.
In the cottage Axel Westerlund's mother, Anna Seraphina Mårtensdotter b. 20.01.1837 Erkas Kivimo, d. 25.12.1920 Klemets Träsk, has lived, but after her death the cottage has been uninhabited.
