Petter Levinus Pettersson and Konstantia Serafina Augustina Henriksdotter bought the place from clockmaker Anders Vilhelm Vestling at Klockarbostället in Träsk. Vestling had moved from Västanfjärd and was a watchmaker in Houtskär from 1866 to 1886. Pettersson's daughter Olivia Serafina and the pilot Charles Martin Östergård, née Mattsson, built the house, which was completed in 1943. Later their son Martin Oliver (Ole) and his wife Hulda Viola Mattsson lived in the house.
