Built by Mattias Edvard Mattsson at Ånholm in Roslax.
According to Jan-Erik Börman's list of shipping in the years 1920-1950, 1901 is given as the year of construction, but on the back of the original photo the year 1899 is noted, which may then be the year that construction began. The load capacity is given as 34 tons. Sold to Turku in 1916, owner Joel Algot Hellbom & K.E. Karlsson Kimito Branten. Abolished in 1935, but according to what John Mattson, son of Edvard, remembered, the Josefin sank, it is uncertain where. The information has been provided by Gotthard Mattsson, Edvard's grandson. For my own part, I can add that I heard it said at Ånholm that the galleass, loaded with railroad rails that had been displaced in a storm, sank somewhere on Skiftet. Nothing was said about the crew (Text written by Birger Rönnsjö).
