The croft was previously owned by Axel Konrad Westin. He was born in 1865 at Hjermholm in Strömma in Korpo. Died 1926 Anders in Hyppeis. Married in 1899 in Jersey City to Anna Victor. They came to Houtskär from the USA and settled in the croft. After her husband's death in 1926, the widow sold the croft in 1929 and went back to America.
