Hilda, born Schönberg on Finnö in Kökar, married August Mattsson born on Utö and from Berghamn. They first lived at Staffas Långholm in Björkö. The family later moved to Kanitmo, which they bought. They moved because the Staffas farmer kept raising the rent with more and more day labor.
