Description

After visiting Näsby and greeting grandchildren, by car to Gloet, it was not possible to drive up to the village because it was only a horse road, which was not accessible by car. His son Clementz owned the car, a so-called sailor's car, where sailors could deposit part of their rent in a currency account and then buy a car from abroad. The car cost 410,000 marks in Germany, but to get it out in Turku, it cost 196,000 marks in customs and sales. This in the old monetary value 1957, when Clementz got his car to Näsby, a VW 1958 model.
