Ville married Matilda Blomqvist in the USA. They had two children, Myrtle and William. Matilda died in childbirth when William was born. Two years later, Ville moved home to Houtskär with his children and then remarried another Matilda. They had a son, Olof Åkerlind. Myrtle and William returned to the United States as adults (William was only 17). Myrtle had a son, Bert. William had no children.
