Emil Eriksson was a sailor and the picture was probably taken in Hamburg. His wife went on a trip with him.
They had three children, Apollonia, Matias and Edith. Apollonia Elier Sjöberg's mother. Married to Amandus Sjöberg in Saverkeit.
Mathias died early and Edith married the widower Emil Herman Karlsson who had returned from America.
He was born 13.6.1891 at Innamo Storgårds and went to sea at the age of 13.
In connection with the land survey in Saverkeit, Edith had to redeem the Vännäs croft with the support of Lex Kallio.
After Edith's death, Herman sold everything and emigrated to the USA, where he had a son from a previous marriage.
He lived there until the age of 86. Vännäs was bought by Rose-Maj and Max Ekblad as a summer cottage.
