Uno Gräsbeck mfl.

Description

The parish boat (Gräsbeck?) lying at Sälgnäs at Jungfruskär. The boat full of people. Perhaps a question of a parish outing. Very interesting picture because it shows that there was a "parish boat" before the one built as Dulos II. Two negatives.

Miscellaneous

Quote by Christian Perret: "It may be Dulos (I), which was not the parish's but Uno Gräsbeck's own, as far as I understand. The boat was in the war and suffered such damage that after its return it sank at the home dock and could never be used again. I have only seen it as a wreck in the early 50s and have very vague memories of it. Then it was on land, without a transom and without all the fittings and glass panes, everything was taken care of."

It's probably not Doulos I, because it had a transom, this one is lace-gabled.

The picture is included in A book about Houtskär part II page 362. The image of the negative is on reg. no. 8591.
