Description
HAS rf. traditional boats racing where 42 boats were registered for the start, 40 started and of them 38 finished.
A record number of boats came from Åboland, Åland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
Competed in two classes, general class where the choice of sails and rigging is open and the lap boat class where the boat must carry cotton sails and have a spreader rig.
HAS was started by student Håkan Abrahamsson from Medelby in 1968, he died in 1970 as a young student. After that, the association was more or less rudderless for a while.
until new steps were taken, Clementz Mattsson was asked to stand up as chairman and became the association's first chairman and remained in charge until the annual meeting on March 6, 1992, when he declined re-election. He was succeeded by Erik Rosenqvist who now holds the gavel (1993).
