Nils Eriksson's hoist block. The outer sheet of the block is made from Houtskärs Sparbank's safe, which was left in the fire when Westerlund's in Näsby burned to the ground. The bank was renting the building at the time. He also made the pulleys himself. Elis Mårtensson forged the first hook for him, but he forged the second one himself from one of the hinges of the fire-damaged safe. He had a forge at Knuters in Jervis, where he then lived.
