Description
S/S Houtskär at the vicarage bridge. The boat's bridge is not rebuilt. The boat was called Adelsö when it was bought from Sweden. It operated e.g. the route Mossala-Norrskata-Rimito- Turku 2 times a week. It was in service until the fall of 1914. Was perhaps laid up until 1918 when it got a new shipping company and a new name. It got the name Kuggvik. Tage Törnqvist's report on the history of the steamer Houtskär is attached to the register card. A postcard was made from the picture in 1995.

See Tage Törnqvist's report. NOTE. The song about the steamer Houtskär is closed on the reg. card. Not sure if all verses are included. The song was written at the time by August Ebenhard Edström "Sandholmin". The picture is on reg. no. 3394. The picture is a motif for a postcard issued by the Culture Guild. See 6697.
