Description

Trader Adam Mattsson's house, which Hembygdens Vänner bought as an association house on March 25, 1906. It was demolished and rebuilt in almost the same place. It was inaugurated in 1922 and named Vesterlid. In front of the house, Ravi's farm building, stands Adam Mattsson and his family. AM b.15.5.1842 d.4.12.1907.
Later research shows that the house was owned by Hulda Retantia Hermansson, who was the daughter of half of the Ravels in Näsby. At the death of her parents, Hulda came under the guardianship of Adam Mattsson, a merchant. Hulda married Johannes Hjalmar Lindberg in Lämpnäs and Ravels was sold by the guardian. The house and plot were sold to Hembygdens Vänner, the home half to Albin Österman.
