Description

A woman stands on a ”sladu” with which the clay cocoons in the fields were demolished. The horse is coupled to the 'sladu' with a 'skakelrede”'. Charlott Gustavsson, 'Mickels´ mother', at the reins. She was the mother of Göta Mattsson and Nils Gustavsson, "Mitjisin", also called "Pätkä". This name was given to Nils during the war, as a group leader in a Finnish unit on the Karelian Isthmus. Nils had the rank of sergeant.
