The collision between the steamship S/S Penelope and the barque Colin Archer occurred on the night of April 23, 1911, off the coast of Varberg, 13 nautical miles north of the Anholt lightship. The Colin Archer sank with all hands.

The captain on board was Viljam Öhman from Houtskär Berghamn, who was traveling with his wife, Anna Karolina, from Berghamn. Both drowned in the collision. See photo 18326
