Johan Victor Westling
Description
Victor went to sea at the age of sixteen. After many years at sea on Åland-ships, he went ashore in Australia. He stayed there for five years, digging for gold in Western Australia, among other things. Upon his return home, he became a galley captain on the Baltic Sea, before becoming a farmer in Backas in 1897.
