Description
Hemming was at heart a person with a curiosity for technology. He got an education as a chief engineer and sailed around the world until his retirement.
When the PC was launched in the early eighties, he designed his own navigation program and various calculation programs all on his own, before the commercial alternatives came onto the market.
When he ordered a large leisure boat from a shipyard in Sweden, he modified the bottom for better seaworthiness and fuel economy.
Later, the aforementioned Svanen was built, the house was equipped with efficient solar heating, and he never got tired of technology.
In company, he enjoyed debating about its areas and argued eloquently for his view of the matter.
