Description
After ending, elementary school, civic school and folk high school Henry worked among others on the Kivimo road when it was built and
was at sea for a shorter time.
After serving military service, Henry became a resident of Sweden like many other Houtskär residents, and got a job at a company that repaired refrigerators and freezers.
After a year or so, he became a sole proprietor in the refrigeration and freezer industry for the rest of his working career.
He met his future wife Käthe "Keckan" at the Åbolandsgillet in Stockholm when he lived in Söder in Stockholm.
Henry's wife Käthe worked as a preschool teacher in Västerhaninge.
After their wedding in the summer of 1968, they moved to Västerhaninge in about 1970, where they lived their entire working career.
As retirees, after a while they, like many others, wanted to return home to Finland and closer to Houtskär, so they moved to Käthe's apartment in Turku next to Salutorget. A short time after the move, Henry passed away and Käthe moved back to Västerhaninge to her daughter.
Henry's funeral was held in Turku.
