Description

B. 27.10.1930 Hästö, Hyppeis, d. 15.10.2015 Hästö, Hyppeis.

Adolf stands on the hill next to the old pilot station and looks out over the "Skiftet", which he has seen for many years when he worked there as a pilot cutter operator.
In the four concrete pillars there has been a wind generator tower for charging batteries for the pilots' radio and lighting.

Miscellaneous

Adolf lived in his home on Hästö in Hyppeis,  in the "STYVÖN" (cottage), as he called it.
From the kitchen window you can look out over Hästösund and twice a year, on the same date year after year, the sun always set in the strait.
Strange, said Adolf. In his younger years he was a sailor, he was also a jack-of-all-trades and built his own motorboat JÅLLAN. In the winter he lived in Port Artur in Turku. His great interest was to go to the farms and tell about old men from the past and tell about families because he had a good memory and knew things.
