The cottage was built by Hilda and August Mattsson and has been inherited by their two children Ivar and John. John was a postman and lived in the cottage all his life. Ivar married Anne and lived in Hanko, they had a son Rolf. After the big shift, Janne Söderman offered the croft to Hjalmar and Enne Axén. They bought the place and lived there for a long time. Then Hjalmar sold the place back to Rolf Mattsson.

"Hjalmar and Enne Axén lived on Moderholm after returning from America. Hjalmar's parents Axel and Katrina settled on Moderholm and Katrina's homestead on Korpo Lövskär was divided and the logs were moved to Moderholm and built up to the house that is still there. When Holger was twelve years old, in 1936, the family moved to Hönsnäs and became farmers, after Gallas-Gunnar died at a young age. After both Enne and Ivar had died, Hjalmar and Anne spent time together and lived with the Mattssons. Moderholm was rented out to all sorts of different people until Ulf Axén took over the place from his grandfather." This was narrated by Tina Axén.
