Description

The old cantor's house was built by Direktor Cantus Victor Gottfrid Sjöberg and his wife Selinda"Linda" Franzilia Adelina Jansén.
The house was built at the end of the 19th century on the common land of the Ravels´ farm.
Victor tried to redeem the land twice, but was refused.
The house's kitchen was on the right and the hall end on the left in the picture.

Miscellaneous

The Sjöbergs had two daughters, Lilly and Helene. As they were not allowed to redeem the land, they let the houses fall into disrepair until 1975, when the Hembygdsnämnden received all the houses from Helene and Einar Marander as a gift.
Hembygdsnämnden wanted to lease the area, which had then been purchased by Houtskärs Sparbank, for 50 years but was refused.
Since Houtskärs Sparbank had bought the area, Hembygdsnämnden had to return the entire gift.
The bank built the house Bostads Ab Klockbrink on the plot.
