Description

Alexander Konstantin Vennström and Lovisa Lindblom owned the entire Klemet homestead.
The place was later divided into several parts for the many children, the son Riggo Venström got the main apartment.

He sold it to a Sjöroos, who sold Klemets to Alma Matilda Pettersson b. 24.04.1885 Kirstas Medelby, d. 09.09.1966 Klemets Träsk and Axel Alexej Westerlund, tid. Mattsson, b. 15.07.1871 Hinders Jervis, d. 28.03.1951 Klemets Träsk.

Axel emigrated to America, an became a gold digger in Alaska. His brother Bernt August (Ben) went to America in 1890 and Axel in 1895 (escaped, it says in the church book). "Ben" returned home in 1902 and Axel in 1905.
Axel traveled again to America in 1925, was home and returned in 1926, returned and did not come home until 1946.

Axel Westerlund had this large house built in 1906.
The house is built of klant (plank pieces in different lengths, which are walled up with clay mortar and some straw in between, customers could buy cheaply in Turku harbor.
The house is very "American-inspired". It is now owned by the grandson of Alma and Axel.
