The house was built in the 1890s by Ida Viktoria Österlund and Herman Alexius Vennström, who was a helmsman on the steamship Houtskär. Ida was from Saltvik, Åland and married a second time to Gustaf Wilhelm Lindblom from Korpo. Ida sold the place in 1932/33 to Irene and John Brunström from Jungfruskär and moved to Näsby, where she bought the property Berghyddan from the merchant Sandström.
