Färjkarlsstugan was built with neighbourly help and with collected funds. It was photographed by Åbo Underrättelser for an article.
The villagers then made a postcard of the picture and sent it to many people who had shown interest in the road construction at Saverkeit.
Those who received the card were invited to send 'gifts' to the bazaar and auction on Independence Day.
