Launching of the schooner, the school ship SEKSTAN 04.10.1947.
SEKSTAN was the first war reparations ship built by Oy Laivateollisuus Ab, "LATE".
A total of 45 schooners + a so-called "gold schooner" were built at this shipyard.
The "gold schooner" was so called because it was anti-magnetic, i.e. all the metal was made of a special, gold-shining bronze alloy.
