Johannes Ossian Nyroos, b. 24.12.1878 Berghamn.
It says in Houtskär´s churchbooks that he is in Cuba but in fact he lived in Puerto Rico.
The relatives (think he had 5 children) have never known that he was from Finland but that he was from Sweden.
Putte Nyroos had during his long-distance career found him in Puerto Rico by searching with the first names in the telephone directory.
Several of his grandchildren have visited Houtskär and Ralf and Gretel Nyroos have corresponded with one grandchild.
One grandchild has studied in Sweden and visited his relatives in Åland several times.
