The ditch that lowered the water level in the Hönsnäs swamp to create more arable land. In the background is the northern shore where the road to Hönsnäs is located. At that time it was considered that all water, where possible, should be drained. The swamp is now overgrown with reeds and should be restored, for the benefit of both birds and people. The place where the picture was taken in 1929, according to Svea Höckert, is near "Urmakårs".
