Description

Voluntarily  work on the 'Norrsund jetty'. The jetty was built in 1946. There had been a long discussion in V.Saverkeit that a proper steamboat dock should be built in the village. Everyone else, except the farmer at Pedars, agreed to the construction out in Norrsund, outside the village's public shoreline. While the construction was going on, Mattias Lindholm and Manne Ekblad drove by and talked trash (barked at the builders) Perhaps mostly at Bernt Mårtensson who had given permission for the construction. After a few years it turned out that both Manne Ekblad and Mattias Lindholm needed the jetty. It was perhaps that memory that made Bernt Mårtensson take the initiative to rebuild the dilapidated jetty.
