Description
The "bootleg king" of the thirties, Hjalmar Mäkelä, born in Masku in 1891, came to Korpo at the age of 38. The picture shows the "palace" he had built in Korpo. The house is now owned by Korpo municipality. Notice the velodrome that Mäkelä had built next to the house.
