m/aux JENOLIN The motorized schooner JENOLIN from Sund. Was built in wood after World War I at Kasvarp, Bamböle bay in Finström. 177 net and 209 gross registered tons. Equipped with 80 hp Bolinder engine and became the first motor sailor of the post-war period. Launched in January 1918 and ready for sailing in spring 1919. Owners F. Abrahamsson, A. Sundman, O. Engman, V. Sundblom. Sundblom. Master Gustaf Lundberg, Leonard Sundblom. Last voyage 1936 with timber cargo from Kemi, leaked in strong headwinds in the Gulf of Bothnia and had to be abandoned. The crew went ashore to Seskarö on the Swedish side of the northern coast of the Gulf of Bothnia. JENOLIN drifted ashore nearby and broke down completely. As a curiosity, it can be mentioned that in the summer of 1920 the m/aux JENOLIN was chartered by a German film company for filming in the Kiel Canal.
