Description
Corcovado, the statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro is 47 m high. Illuminated at night, it is visible many miles out in the Atlantic as a cross. The statue is called by sailors "Limhamnsjesus", the cement for it came from Limhamn in Sweden.
Miscellaneous
Arrived with S/S Herakles in Rio, as the first Finnish boat after the war.
